Siemens Scholarship Program for Engineering Students

Siemens Scholarship is a joint initiative by Siemens India., Smile Foundation and Growth Centre (I) Pvt. Ltd. The basic objective of Siemens scholarship program is to encourage meritorious students from underprivileged families to take up engineering as a career and help the nation builds its engineering power. Siemens understands that in India there are a large number of deserving students who have a strong desire to become an engineer and excel in life, but unfortunately, they could not pursue their dreams, largely due to financial constraints. In view of this, Siemens offers a limited number of merit-cum-means scholarship to pursue their education in engineering and help them to achieve excellence in life and be what they want to be.

Target Group of Siemens Scholarship programme:

  • Underprivileged meritorious first-year students of Government Engineering Colleges
  • 50% scholarship reserved for female students
  • Streams of Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunications, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Computer Science / Information Technology only

Through this initiative, Siemens Technology has awarded scholarship worth rupees of 50000/- along with a Laptop
each to 26 Engineering students of Government Engineering College, Hassan for the current year 2016-17. This
scholarship will be awarded annually till the end of the graduation with added benefits like.

  • Holistic development through training, internship and mentoring at Siemens
  • Exposure and understanding of the Industry

Siemens under its CSR initiative is supporting Government Engineering College, Hassan from last 2 years consecutively.
